About this project
This work focuses on developing postpartum programs for women who had gestational diabetes during pregnancy. Gestational diabetes increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes later in life, but the postpartum period is an important time to provide support, education, and connection to care. The goal of this work is to help mothers understand their future diabetes risk, access follow-up care, and make realistic changes that support their health after pregnancy. By improving postpartum support, this work aims to reduce long-term diabetes risk for birthing parents and promote healthier families from the start.
